I know I am a minority on the issues of livestock. As a child who grew up on a farm, we slaughtered our animals for food. I believe that you can treat animals with respect, compassion, and dignity before you slaughter them. You should thank them for their sacrifice for you. I also beieve that the American public eats too much meat. We can raise animals for food but not on factory farm systems. I am trying to balance what i eat. i am not a vegan, but i am not a meat glutton.
