Art for Pitties

Remember this Call for Artists, for a project entitled Art for Pitties? Well, the artists came and the vision was realized. Now, on Saturday, August 21, 40+ original works of art created by animal-loving artists worldwide, will be displayed in New York City. If you’re not in NYC, worry not: the auction — which begins on Sunday, August 22 — will all take place in virtual-land, on eBay. All the proceeds from Art for Pitties will go to the San Diego based pit bull advocacy group, Even Chance.

According to the press release, “Art for Pitties is a NYC-based fundraising initiative that has partnered with pit bull lovers and artists alike to create an animal friendly art show and raise awareness of the pit bulls’ plight! Tote-bags/carry-alls and more have been recreated as unique artworks and will be auctioned off online.” Read more info about Saturday’s event, and learn more about Art for Pitties.
