Announcing Our Changemaker Series

Surprise! For the next two weeks, I’m delighted to tell you that Our Hen House will be hosting a Changemaker Series, where we will be educated and enlightened by movers and shakers within the animal rights movement on a panoply of subjects.

Topics will include: restaurant outreach; holiday activism; media outreach; citizen lobbying; MeetUp organizing; Facebook and Twitter; blogging; speaking with the opposition; leafleting; and fashion activism. You will hear tips from some of the brightest, coolest, smartest, and cutest activists around, including… No wait. I don’t to tell you. I want it to be a surprise. But prepare for a real treat.

Starting on Monday, Dec. 13, and going straight through until Christmas Eve (with the exception of Saturday the 18th, since we post our podcast on Saturdays), you will receive one tip a day that will help make up your activist toolkit. With 2011 just a moment away, the time is ripe for us to give ourselves the gift of becoming the best possible changemakers we can be.

Our Hen House was created almost a year ago because we wanted to produce resources that individuals can use in order to find their own special way to create change for animals. Along the way, we have met the most sensational folks, and our hopes for this upcoming Changemaker Series is that we can all continue to share wisdom with one another so that we can squelch this animal exploitation thing once and for all.
