Call for Papers Down Under

By Mariann Sullivan — January 03, 2011

For those of you with a big academic brain and a penchant for international travel, the University of Wollongong will be presenting The Global Animal: An Animal Studies Conference on July 7 and 8, 2011. The conference seeks to answer the question: “What are the implications of cultural, political and economic globalized environments and narratives for non-human animals? What issues relating to non-human animals need urgent attention?” Abstracts are due on March 11, 2011.

Also, while you’re down there, you might as well also attend the 4th Biennial Australian Animal Studies Group Conference to be held at Griffith University in Brisbane on July 10-13,  2011 entitled, “Animals, People – a Shared Environment.”
