Valentine’s Day Shopping at the Our Hen House Etsy Shop

If you’re planning on doing some gift shopping this Valentine’s Day, why not make your purchases support the multimedia work of Our Hen House? All of your purchases on the Our Hen House Etsy Shop contribute directly to our role as a hive of creative opportunities for animal activism. And all the items on the shop — including the fabulous new items that just went up! — are handmade and vegan, created by our family of talented vegan artists.
Here are some of my favorites:
-
The Hugs & Kisses Acrylic Scarf by Beth Begany is a fantastic, romantic piece that is Valentine’s Day themed without being corny, in a bold red color that looks good all year round. The perfect gift.
- Are you a stickler for style, but need something to warm up those hands during the winter months? Try on these Purple Hearts Acrylic/Polymide Hand Warmers.
- Scarves are the best part of winter! Or… maybe vegan winter coats are the best part of winter. But scarves are definitely up there! The Ivy League Acrylic/Recycled Polyester Men’s Dress Scarf certainly makes the case. And I’m not just saying that because I’m the one modeling it in the pictures…
- I still can’t believe no one has snapped up this Copper Bead and Clear Crystal Bracelet. It’s handmade and new, but looks like it could have been worn by somebody a hundred years ago.
If you’re in the US and you order by Thursday, February 10, we can guarantee you’ll get your sweet somethings by V Day. Or, if you’re in NYC and prefer to just pick it up in downtown Manhattan, we can arrange a time for you to do so. (Contact me at nick[at]ourhenhouse.org to arrange.)
Lastly, don’t forget that Our Hen House is on the lookout for artists or creative types who have one-of-a-kind items that they’d like to donate to our Etsy shop!
So there you have it. Whether you’re looking for knits or jewelry, socks or necklaces, the Our Hen House Etsy Shop is the place to be. Vegan items by vegan artists to support a vegan organization, whose mission is to help vegans find their niches helping animals. Yeah, that’s a lot of vegan.
