James McWilliams

You know him. You love him. You wish you lived in his brain.

Historian, professor, prolific writer, and relentless do-gooder James E. McWilliams — who is not only an OHH advisory board member, but has joined us both on our podcast and for an exclusive live lecture here in NYC — has recently announced that he is going on a speaking tour in the next academic year (September 2013-September 2014), hoping to visit a whopping 40-50 colleges and universities. The tour is fully funded (yowsa!) and the topic at hand will be “Veganism for Omnivores.” James is seeking sponsors to secure spaces and times for him to talk. Now there’s an opportunity worthy of sharing far and wide.

Those interested in taking advantage of this one of a kind opportunity should email James at eatingplantsmcwilliams [at] gmail [dot] com. And then brace yourselves: You will rarely hear someone as articulate on animal issues as James. Be prepared to have a revelation or two (thousand).

I wonder if this is just a US tour or if he's considering travelling elsewhere...I'm at Oxford University in England and I'm certain a talk by James McWilliams would be well received! I've read many of his articles in the Atlantic and am a big fan. Must get his book...
