I prefer to be able to choose the book myself or choose with specific friends because we'll tend to gravitate toward the same books. VSDC has a book club, but I saw the list of this year's books and did not like the sound of any of the titles, at least insofar as what I am currently interested in reading. It's also a place for humans to find joy and solace if they are faced with making difficult choices about their ailing pets. And, we offer pet loss and bereavement support. For all of us involved with the Perfect Paws Pet Ministry, it's a wonderfully rewarding experience. And those who keep coming, every third Sunday of the month, at 5 p.m., for a half hour service that includes Holy Eucharist and homily, the experience of worshipping with their four-legged family members is a wonderful gift.
