Welcome to the 16th podcast episode of Our Hen House, featuring special guest Joan Schaffner.

In today’s episode, we will discuss a popular new cooking competition that’s raising eyebrows — and lowering cholesterol! — throughout New York City. We’ll also give you some personal news from the world of dot com, or shall we now say dot org.

Joining us today is animal law professor Joan Schaffner, who will be telling us about her forthcoming book, Introduction to Animals and the Law, as well as sharing some tips for folks interested in getting involved with animal law. In our news section, we will be discussing the oil spill off the coast of Louisiana, and the implications that has for wildlife. We’ll also be telling you about some big news in the media that has to do with li’l old us.

Finally, we will be discussing some popular animal rights themed books, and talking about the results of our Facebook survey where we asked you to share your favorites. The results might surprise you!
