Why do I love Dr. Bronners. Dr. Bronners reminds me of the sweetest place on earth. Out in the country I have two friends who run a B&B called Piebird that is completely vegan and it's water source is only the rain and the creek. Their gardens are all organic and their companion animals include goats, cats and chickens - all who welcome you warmly. All of their cleaning and body care supplies are Dr. Bronners. Not only does Dr. Bronners remind me of Piebird, but it actually reduces my stress levels. I know - weird right. Well here's the logic, it's simple, it's formulation is something that our grandparents would be familiar with, it's packaging is lovely - reminiscent of an old apothecary. And to top it off, no one is harmed in the production of these products. After my first stay at Piebird I went out and purchased Dr. Bronner's products. My favourite is the lavendar castile soap so far (although there are so many other products I still want to try). This soap I've used as a hand soap, in a mixture for hand wipes, in my sons bath and in my household cleaning mixture.

the castile soap is my fav bc you can use it for anything... clean the bathtub, counters, laundry stains, or wash my dog with it! :)

I use Dr. B's Baby Mild everyday! (even though I am not a baby and do not have one, although if I did I would use it on baby too) I love how simple it is. Less is more, right? I even use it on my face instead of some fancy shmancy face only soap. And of course, I looooove their commitment to animals.

I just finished using it to clean my fridge! Mixed with only water in a spray bottle, it's perfect as an all purpose cleaner. We've also been reusing the same two "foamy soap" bottles forever - we just refill them with a mixture of water and a few tablespoons of Dr Bronner's Peppermint. It's much less expensive and much healthier than buying foamy soap refills. Sometimes we mix scents - orange + almond, or peppermint + tea tree, etc.

Ah Dr. Bronner! I love the soaps in bar and liquid form for cleaning anything and everything, but most of all, I love that I don't have to second-guess myself when reaching for a cleaning supply as long as this amazing stuff is around. Also, as an extremely dorky label-reader, the packaging of Dr. Bronner's products keeps me entertained for an inordinate amount of time. Great product!

Love Dr Bronners products, it has inspired me to cut the chemicals from my life and live more natural. Im leaving a smaller carbon footprint by cutting out all the extra bottles from different cleaning bottles and shampoo bottles, all while feeling amazing about the choice ive made for my household.

I love Dr. Bronner's almond liquid and bar soap. Almond-scented anything is my absolute favorite, and Dr. Bronner's knows how to get it right! It's versatile and long lasting, and perfect for in the shower or on the trail (which is where I used it first!).

I use Dr. Bronner's Peppermint bar soap for the holidays as a 'seasonally scented' soap, as well as year round on my feet to keep them smelling sweet. In the summer when it gets REALLY hot, I use the liquid Peppermint soap as a cooling soap. The rest of the year, I enjoy the almond liquid soap & then rotate through the various scents of the bar soaps to keep things fun & interesting. I didn't even know about the vegan lip balms! I could definitely use some of that! I hope I win! :-D

When I heard about Dr. Bronners contributing so much to the fight to label GMOs, I became a huge fan. I plan to buy their products the next time I any of these items. I like peppermint soap and will definitely try that soon.

I love Bronner's Peppermint Soap. I used it while hiking the Appalachian Trail so now just the smell of it brings me back to the woods!

Fair trade, cruelty free, lovely scents, concern for the planet...what's not to like?

I've used Dr. Bronner's since college. I lived in a co-op and we used it exclusively...I loved the minty fresh wakeup and kept using it since! It's versatile, and especially wonderful for camping when biodegradable soaps are a necessity. I love the bars in my shower, and the sal suds for other cleaning purposes. I have very sensitive skin, and Dr. Bronner's is always safe for me. :) Love it!!!

Like everyone else it seems I just love that almond sense that takes me right back to childhood and marzipan and frangipane and lovely memories but without any of the animal exploitation that those memories unfortunately really entailed...!

  20. March 13, 2014 at 9:58 pm

Um, I don't know if this means I'm disqualified from the contest, but I actually haven't used Dr. Bronner's before! I know - blasphemous! But if I win this gift basket, it would be a great way to show me what I've been missing out on, huh? :)

I like their lip balms. You can never have too many lip balms!

  22. March 13, 2014 at 11:35 pm

Being an animal mom my favorite is their Sal Suds. I use it for everything from litter boxes to dog beds. Being the mom of two beagles rescued from an animal testing laboratory, I most appreciate their cruelty-free stance.

I was first introduced to Dr Bronner's by a college friend in the 80's, when the label on the liquid soap was its own course in philosophy. I've used it ever since ever since, soap in the bath, sal suds in the kitchen, mineral bouillon back in the day, lots n lots of lib balm. There's nothing more reviving that a Dr Bronner's peppermint face wash. DILUTE DILUTE! People at my shop love love love the lavender ... they walk out sniffing their freshly washed hands and ask where they can get that heavenly scent. I'm so grateful for this wonderfully ethical company and their excellent products. Their support for OHH makes me love them even more!

the liquid Castile soap for sure, the tea tree variety is great.. the Castile soaps in general just can't be beat as far as their versatility! :) curious about the lip balms.. are they making a vegan one now? I thought all of their lip balms contain beeswax

Adam- Thank you so much for pointing this out. We didn't realize that! Our sincere apologies! We will NOT be including the lip balm in the (otherwise fabulous) giveaway. We encourage you to buy one of the amazing vegan lip balms that are out there, and to enjoy all of the many 100% cruelty-free + vegan products that Dr. Bronner's does offer!!

I think on some level, beyond their politics and their products, what I really love about Dr. Bronners is that they're one of the few packaged vegan products I associate with the era when I was a brand-new vegan and everything seemed more radical and possible. Also: until I read the comments, I was totally planning to ask my natural food co-op to start carrying this mysterious new vegan Dr. Bronners lip balm instead of the usual version that I'm always annoyed isn't vegan. Ah well, maybe someday Dr. Bronners could still change their recipe. : )

I love love love the classic peppermint and I've been using it since my college days in the 70s. It's still the greatest for a cool, refreshing feeling & this year I've started using it in home-made house-cleaning concoctions. I'll use Dr Bronners 24/7

I have never tried any of these products. Therefore I would love to win so that I can try them.
