We have told you in the past about the work of Florida artist Sarah Kiser, highlighting one of her many art-videos that draw attention to the “Needless Suffering” that animals endure, and reminding us all that “Peace Begins With You.” Now, our good friend Leigh-Chantelle, from down under in Australia — founder of Viva La Vegan — is highlighting some of Sarah’s other artwork, and we certainly have to agree that it’s soul-stirring. We heart what Sarah is doing so much, in fact, that we want to use today’s blog to send you over to Leigh-Chantelle’s, so you can see her moving artwork for yourself.
While I have your attention, though, let me show you my personal favorite:
With this one, “Cruelty Beyond Words,” a close second:
According to Sarah’s website (which you must peruse after you finish reading Leigh-Chantelle’s blog entry):
I like to create logos, artwork and videos that are centered
around helping animals and bringing awareness to the
horrifying suffering and cruelty they are subjected to,
whether it be for food, milk, eggs, clothing, leather, etc. …
My goal is to eventually create children’s
books. You are welcome to use these pictures below as
you like, for things like sharing on Facebook, as a profile
picture, to print out for your own projects, to make a
print for your home, for activism, etc.
So, in addition to using Sarah Kiser’s work to inspire us to be creative activists, let’s also share her magnificent work far and wide. Art moves people in mysterious ways; something tells me that Sarah’s can move at least some toward compassion.
And, by the way, if you are intrigued by Leigh-Chantelle’s blog, and want to find out more about what’s going on in Australia, tune in to our podcast this weekend where we will be interviewing her.
