Back in July, we told you about Betsy Carson’s TV show, in pre-production at that time, entitled “Vegan Mashup.” The dynamic cooking show, which features cookbook authors Terry Hope Romero, Toni Fiore, and Miyoko Schinner as they concoct scrumptious vegan dishes — in a totally accessible and engaging way — is finally a reality, ready for each of us to consume.
Want to be able to see episodes of “Vegan Mashup,” including Healthy on a Budget, Cooking for Teens, Holiday Classics, Party Foods, a Mediterranean Roundup, and even a breakfast episode brilliantly entitled A Reason to Rise? Yeah, me too. That’s where we all come in. Our help is needed in getting this show onto the airwaves. It’s super simple, will take approximately one minute, and — if successful (and TV stations do listen to viewers!) — could result in millions of people discovering for themselves the utter importance and deliciousness of leaving animals off our plates and embracing veganism.
Here’s the skinny, kids, in three simple steps:
- Head over to the http://www.pbs.org/
stationfinder and find your local station. - Let them know you want to see Delicious TV’s Vegan Mashup.
- Supply one of these three statements to the station: “I am requesting that you air a new series, Delicious TV’s Vegan Mashup”; “Please air Delicious TV’s Vegan Mashup distributed by NETA”; or “I heard about this great show, Delicious TV’s Vegan Mashup, which is distributed by NETA. Can you please air it?” (Or feel free to personalize your request to the station.)
Let’s support fellow vegans who are trying to change the world for animals in this unique way. As Mariann likes to say — and I’ll continue to repeat this ad nauseam — the single most effective way to advocate for animals is through providing delicious vegan food. Delicious TV’s “Vegan Mashup” might be the ingredient that finally makes this rise.
