We have been looking forward to this video for a long time. All social justice movements are about extending the circle of compassion. In this new short film from Our Hen House, a great group of passionate activists from the LGBT world talk about how they personally connected the dots and came out for the animals, too. “Coming out for Animals” highlights personal stories of connections between gay rights and animal rights, all told while enjoying delicious vegan grub.
The connections between animal rights and gay rights have been very personal to me, too, as you’ll see in this video. I myself came to the animal rights movement by way of the LGBT movement, and, throughout the years, I have had the honor of interviewing dozens of LGBT activists who are passionate about animal advocacy, too. I could not be more excited about this video. I hope that you will share in my passion for it and share the video far and wide.
For all the animals,
jasmin
