Episode 130: “Good girls go to heaven. Bad girls go everywhere.”

Welcome to the 130^th episode of Our Hen House, featuring Honey LaBronx, with special guest Ari Solomon. 
In today’s episode, our first coming to you from our great American road trip adventure, we’ll tell you about our fond farewell to the Big Apple – temporarily, anyway – as we make our way out West. We’ll include banter about our sayonara at the fancypants vegan eatery in the East Village, Kajitsu. We’ll also tell you all about our journey thus far as we make our way across the U.S. of A, complete with both the Grandmamobile, and our pit bull, Rose. Highlights so far have included our travel blender, our go-to meal at Chinese restaurants nationwide, and roadside fruit and vegetable stands.
Joining us today is Honey LaBronx, vegan drag queen extraordinaire, a.k.a. Ben Strothmann. Honey will talk to us all about what it was like growing up in Wisconsin as the offspring of a well-known dairy personality, and how her history informs her current-day veganism and activism.  She will also tell us about her vegan cooking show, and her experience giving the show live at the gay pride parade back home in Wisconsin. For our review, we’ll be joined by Our Hen House’s Ari Solomon, who will give us his take on the film, Minds in the Water.
