Welcome to the 140th episode of Our Hen House, featuring Delcianna Winders, the Director of Captive Animal Law Enforcement for the PETA Foundation.
In today’s episode, we talk about a restaurant whose icon to show which menu items are vegan is a sad face. We’ll tell you about the letter Jasmin wrote to complain, and the one she got back, calling her a zealot.
We’ll also talk to you about our glorious experience watching 20,000 swifts dance their way into the chimney of an elementary school. And Mariann will update us on what she is covering in her animal law fundamentals class and her animal in agriculture class.
Joining us today is Delcianna Winders, the Director of Captive Animal Law Enforcement for the PETA Foundation. Delci will get us up to speed on some exciting victories to recently come about for animals, including that of Ben the Bear – the story of one ambassador animal that you won’t want to miss. She’ll also give us some exciting updates about the fight for Lolita, the lone captive orca at the Miami Seaquarium.
For our review, we’ll talk about the film Happy Feet Two, from an animal rights perspective.
All that, vegan banter, and of course, current events from the world of animal rights.
