Welcome to the 223rd episode of Our Hen House, featuring Saskia Stucki, Livia Boscardin, Maneesha Deckha, Steven M. Wise, Katie Sykes, Natasha Dolezal, Kathy Hessler, and Margo DeMello [transcript of all interviews]. Today’s episode is Part I of a II Part Series exploring the conference, The Animal Turn and the Law, held in Basel, Switzerland earlier this month.
In today’s episode, we come to you from Basel, where we were covering the conference, a groundbreaking event bringing together philosophers, academics, and lawyers from many different corners of the world who are all working to change the world for animals.
With that in mind, we’ll introduce you to a few of those changemakers – including Saskia Stucki, Livia Boscardin, Maneesha Deckha, Steven M. Wise, Katie Sykes, Natasha Dolezal, Kathy Hessler, and Margo DeMello. This podcast episode will be part one of a two part series looking into the animal rights scene in Switzerland and beyond, so hold onto your chocolate and prepare to be inspired.
Speaking of chocolate, for our review, we will give you our take on the very best vegan Swiss chocolate we had while abroad. We’ll also share with you some of our experiences eating vegan on the airplane and in our travels, as well as our thoughts on the animal rights scene in Switzerland.
All that, vegan banter, and of course, current events from the world of animal rights.
