Welcome to the 248th episode of Our Hen House, featuring anti-vivisectionist Dr. Murry Cohen and film critic Noah Gittell.
In today’s episode, we ruminate on everything from our handyman who told us that rodents “serve no purpose,” to folks who proclaim that cosmetics shouldn’t be tested on animals but on prisoners instead, to what we think you should do with the rest of your life.
Joining us today is Dr. Murry Cohen, a physician and psychiatrist for over 40 years, and an outspoken animal advocate who is widely published on the subject of anti-vivisection. Today, Dr. Cohen will be talking to us about maternal deprivation studies involving baby monkeys, and why these studies are not only cruel, but useless.
For our review, film critic and animal activist Noah Gittell will be back, this time to talk about three films out in theaters (or soon to be out) that anyone with a fondness for animals or a passion for animal rights will want to see.
All that, vegan banter, and of course, current events from the world of animal rights.
