Welcome to the 50th podcast episode of Our Hen House, featuring Mary and Mark Hardy from The Lodge, a vegan retreat in Grenada. Also featuring Alexis Brill as part of our New Vegan Series.
In today’s episode, we will start by telling you about some unusual Christmas caroling we did in Central Park. (Clue: “We wish you wouldn’t whip us…”) Then, we’ll let you know which celebrity we spotted at a hot NYC vegan restaurant (OMG!), and the conversation that ensued.
Then, we’ll tell you all about our trip to Grenada, where we stayed at a breathtakingly beautiful vegan lodge. Joining us today are the masterminds behind the lodge in Grenada, Mary and Mark Hardy, former peace activists with quite a story to tell.
Following that, we once again bring you our new vegan series, where we will be joined by the articulate and lovely Alexis Brill, who we met several months ago at a dog and cat adoption event in NYC. Alexis will share her story of widening her circle of compassion to include all animals.
All that, vegan banter, and of course, current events from the world of animal rights.
This week’s news items include:
