Episode 73: “Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion.”

Welcome to the 73^rd episode of Our Hen House, featuring lawyer and professor, Rebecca Huss.

In today’s episode, we will get you up to speed on everything from the vegan meal delivery service we’re trying, to the movies we’re loathing, and the cruelty-free cookouts we’re collecting.

Horsing around.

Joining us today is lawyer and professor, Rebecca Huss, who will tell us all about companion animal law, and how her veganism relates to her personal and professional academic and legal activism.

For our review, we’ll share with you our thoughts on the new Broadway play, War Horse, which follows the story of a horse, Joey, during World War I.

All that, vegan banter, and of course, current events from the world of animal rights.

This week’s news items include:

• “When ‘free’ trade trumps U.S. law” from Salon.com
• “Felony Animal Cruelty Warrants Issued Following MFA’s Undercover Investigation at Texas Calf Factory Farm” from Mercy for Animals
• “Nein zu Wildtieren im Zirkus” from Wormser Beitung

“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali
