Welcome to the 91st episode of Our Hen House, featuring Liz Marshall from The Ghosts in Our Machine.
In today’s episode, we’ll give our thoughts on Occupy Wall Street – a quickly growing movement aimed to seek justice for the underdog. We’re happy to say that that sentiment includes animals. We’ll also talk Russian Bathhouses, soon-to-expire Groupons, and we’ll tell you all about the HSUS Gala that we were lucky enough to attend.
Joining us today is Liz Marshall, filmmaker behind The Ghosts in Our Machine — the cross-platform project that goes into the world of the ghosts who are used for clothing, medical and consumer product testing, food, and other forms of exploitation (as featured on our blog). Liz is not only a long-time passionate and compassionate activist, but she’s recently become vegan – and will tell us all about her journey. No doubt you will leave this interview feeling inspired and moved by her thoughtful and profound experiences.
For our review, we’ll give you our thoughts on the film, Eating – the one that made Las Vegas billionaire, Steve Wynn, go vegan.
All that, vegan banter, and of course, current events from the world of animal rights.
This week’s news items include:
