Dear Flock,
Hello again! As I’m sure you all know, Our Hen House now has a TV show! The show is in partnership with Brooklyn Independent Media (which is run by the non-profit, BRIC). I was lucky enough to help last Saturday with the shooting of Episodes 4 and 5. It was such a fantastic experience to be behind the scenes in that capacity! Jasmin and Mariann are so good on camera, and it’s truly inspiring to watch them work! Also, the guests that they are bringing in are soooo incredible! #PRIVATE#
Episode 5, which goes up next week, has the brilliant, 13-year old activist Rose McCoy. I guarantee she will inspire you, as will the food that Annie and Dan Shannon (of Meet the Shannons) brought (you should have seen the crew — me included! — flocking to the set to eat it as soon as the show was finished). Plus, the people at Brooklyn Independent Media are so professional and nice and great at what they do! I immediately felt welcomed in the studio, and you can tell that everyone there is very passionate about redefining what media means!
I really think that what the hens are doing is so important, and I love that Our Hen House now has the opportunity to reach even more people with the very important message of changing the world for animals!
In addition to wanting to tell you how excited I am to be a part of the magic of OHH, I’m also writing this letter because the amazing folks at BRIC are donating a chic BRIC tote bag for one lucky flock member! To enter to win, simply comment below and tell us what your favorite moment from the OHH TV show has been so far (you have four episodes to choose from). In one week — on Tuesday, April 15, at Midnight EST, which is when the contest officially ends — we will randomly select a lucky chicken from our flock to win the tote bag. We look forward to your feedback! Happy watching!!!
Thank you all so much, and good cluck — I mean LUCK!!
