One of my favorite features of Vegan Mainstream, a fabulous website that offers marketing services for ethically-minded vegan bloggers and entrepreneurs, is their vegan jobs section. Kind of like a classifieds for folks with a conscience, this section allows you to search by keyword, job function, location, or experience level, and currently boasts openings everywhere from PETA to Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. For those of you looking for a few extra bucks but not interested in spending your days selling your soul (or selling animal oppression), bookmark this page.
Another website contributing to the vegan and animal rights job niche, http://VeganJobs.com, offers listings for vegan businesses and organizations and aggregates posts from other job platforms. In addition to vegan restaurants and advocacy organizations, a growing number of vegan startups from plant-based meats to cosmetic lines are making it easier for individuals to find employment that aligns with their ethos. Check out vegan careers, internships and part-time jobs at this page. Even if you’re not actively looking for a job, you can post your resume for employers to review, perhaps they will reach out to you with a career opportunity down the road. Employers can also seek VeganJobs.com’s recruitment services and take much of the legwork out of the searching and hiring process. They also have a Vegan Jobs Facebook Page and a Vegan Jobs & Careers Facebook Group.
