Our favorite Discerning Brute is at it again. Joshua Katcher (remember him from our podcast?) has unleashed Pinnacle, a new campaign aiming to “breathe new life and form into the original NO-FUR icon, and draw much-needed attention to the message behind it.” With the dreaded fur season upon us again (oy — have you been to Soho lately? It’s like a morgue…), Joshua and the rest of the Pinnacle gang is asking you to design your very own NO FUR pin or other accessory. This is the time to get creative. What kind of design speaks to you? What do you think people will notice? Do you want to go for gory (something incorporating anal electrocution perhaps?), or would you rather go fun and funky, like this:
reinventtheicon.com
After you design the anti-fur accessory, then capture the image, and send the photo of your proud work to Design (at) ReinventTheIcon.com. There’s no deadline and, according to Reinvent the Icon, after getting your image, they will “follow through with press, as the main objective is for PINNACLE to get the press talking about you and your participation…. [Reinvent the Icon] will be dedicated to showcasing your creation, and a link back to where it can be purchased. You can make your design available to customers however you see fit.”
