The fabulous people at VegFund, a truly amazing, one-of-a-kind organization that funds and supports outreach activities that aim to inspire people to pursue veganism, is now offering a free notification service that will alert you to fabulous upcoming tabling opportunities in your area! All you have to do is sign up to receive the notifications, and poof, you’ll begin getting alerts so fast that you’ll find yourself rushing to the printer’s to get your “Go Vegan, Dammit!” brochures ready in a jiffy.
VegFund, which is also responsible for the recently launched project, VegVids — a service that allows you to easily search through hundreds of vegan and pro-animal related videos so you can use them in your outreach — is easily one of our favorite resources for animal activists. They are not only making vegan outreach as easy and accessible as possible, by providing much-needed support to those who wish to change the world for animals by advocating veganism to the masses, but now, with this notification system, they are giving us no excuse whatsoever to fail to step up to the cruelty-free plate. Like Our Hen House, the folks at VegFund want to empower compassionate, ethically-minded animal lovers to do something to change the world for animals. There is no question that engaging in absolutely basic — yet oh-so-effective — tactics like leafleting and tabling, is one of the most important things any of us can do. Ah, the power of grassroots…
Oh, and if you’re interest is piqued, you might also want to know that VegFund is seeking volunteers to help manage this project. Curious and eager parties can email kim[at]vegfund[dot]org. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in volunteering, has some management skills, and needs to be able to work remotely. Another such opportunity is the Our Hen House intern position (part-time, telecommuting okay) that we’re currently trying to fill!
