Not to Brag, But We Really Do Offer the BEST Thank You Gifts Out There

Here we are with Grayson, Mariann's adorable great-nephew.

Here we are with Grayson, Mariann’s adorable great-nephew.

Darling Chickens,

Our little hen hearts are bursting with joy and it’s all because of you, our clucking awesome chickens! We’ve had so many amazing moments in 2013, thanks to our listeners and readers, and we’re far from being done — we’re on a roll (with vegan butter, of course!).
Now that we’re at the very end of the year, we’re hoping that you will help us by supporting our efforts to change the world for animals, and that you’ll find generosity in your gigantic hearts (and your pleather wallets) and donate to our cause! As always, we offer some pretty fantastic thank you gifts. Perhaps most importantly, we want to remind you that our Donor Challenge is still in full swing until December 31 (YOU STILL HAVE TIME!), and all gifts will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000, by our incredible Barnyard Benefactors.

There were so many milestones for us in 2013, with a major one being the celebration of our 200th consecutive weekly podcast episode! Some favorite podcast guests from this past year have included Emily Deschanel, Steve-O, and John Salley. Also, the Our Hen House Online Magazine, which, thanks to your support, was launched last year, has really spread its wings in 2013, consistently releasing new material each day, and growing our presence as the go-to source for vegan and animal rights news, reviews, and feature articles.

None of this would have happened without your support. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Our Hen House is reader- and listener-supported, and we would not be able to change the world for animals without your help. We thank you from the bottom of our hen hearts for supporting us thus far and for making our online magazine come to fruition. 2014 will undoubtedly be our best year yet.

To spill the beans just a bit for what’s in store in 2014: We are developing an e-book publishing arm; we are in post-production for a web TV series; we are working on a second podcast that will effectively bridge the gap between our online magazine and our “radio” presence; and, though it’s just a bit too early to talk about this completely, let’s just say that the boob tube might not be so far away… (Egad!!!!)

We hope you’ll join us in changing the world for animals, and will consider Our Hen House in your end of year giving. Please make a donation today so that Our Hen House can continue to be an independent multimedia hub of opportunities to change the world for animals.

With love and warm wishes for a very Happy New Year,

Jasmin, Mariann, Rose, and the rest of the Our Hen House team
