Studying Education?

For those of you studying to be teachers (or maybe you are already one) the new book Animals in Schools looks like a good resource you might want to use to encourage your school to get a course in Animals in Education. According to Amazon.com, “Animals in Schools explores important questions in the field of critical animal studies and education by close examination of a wide range of educational situations and classroom activities.” One sure-fire way of mainstreaming the “animal rights” message is by getting classroom after classroom to begin to recognize our movement as a mainstay; just as integral to education as other interdisciplinary studies.
