This past Wednesday, I had the honor of presenting a workshop called “Veganism to Activism” at Georgian Court University’s vegetarian club in Lakewood, NJ. I was totally impressed with all the awesome advocacy coming out the vegetarian club, including their successes with creating vegan options in their cafeteria (stay tuned for a video and blog entry about veganizing college cafeterias, featuring the folks at GCU). Special thanks to Jessica Caneal and Kelly Dowdy for their incredible work in putting the event together — and thanks, too, for everyone who came out to the workshop, even on St. Patrick’s Day!
The talk focused on the moral imperative of going vegan and getting active for animals in whatever way we can, and some possible categories where your animal activism could fit. Below are some of the highlights from my workshop. Thanks for watching!
