Vegucated, an award-winning film that is part sociological experiment and part adventure comedy, is the creation of filmmaker and activist Marisa Miller Wolfson (whom we interviewed back on Episode 80). It follows three meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks:
“Lured by tales of weight lost and health regained, they begin to uncover the hidden sides of animal agriculture that make them wonder whether solutions offered in films like Food, Inc. go far enough. This entertaining documentary showcases the rapid and at times comedic evolution of three people who discover they can change the world one bite at a time.”
Our Hen House’s co-founder Jasmin Singer served as the Creative Consultant for Vegucated, and is featured in the movie as well. As a bonus, don’t miss Our Hen House’s podcast interview with the filmmaker, Marisa Miller Wolfson. Also check out Our Hen House’s review of this game-changer of a documentary.
