Here’s a great opportunity for law students. The Animal Law Review, which is a student-run journal at Lewis and Clark Law School, and was, incidentally, the very first law review devoted specifically to animal law, is holding its annual student writing competition. Okay, I know you are heading into exams and this may not be the best time to think about this, but you have until January 15 to get something in. The winner not only gets published, they get $250 to boot!
Aside from entering, be sure to spread the word around your law school about this. This kind of opportunity could pique someone else’s interest in animal law, and should, at the very least, help raise the profile of animal law.
